Frequently Asked Questions

Bride and sister kissing their mom on wedding day.Bride and Sister Kissing Mom

How far in advance do you book weddings?

There tends to be two groups of people — those who book about 12-16 months in advance, and those who book about 6-8 months in advance.  The fall months tend to fill up first, so if you have a September or October wedding, please don’t wait to get in touch!

We accept a limited number of weddings per year to ensure that each client gets our full attention. We only schedule one wedding per day, and we rarely book more than one wedding per weekend.

How can I check out your most recent work?

Become our fan on Facebook to keep up with our latest news and see sneak peeks from recent weddings, engagement and proposal sessions.

You can see more from recent weddings on our blog at www.FairmountPhoto.com/blog

Do you have insurance?

All of our gear is covered by insurance, plus we also have Liability Insurance up to $1 million, which is required by many venues. If your venue requires a Certificate of Liability, just let us know at least two weeks before your wedding and we will take care of it.

Do you have back up gear?

Yes. We have backup plans for our backup plans.  Call us paranoid, but we arrive at every wedding with more than twice as much equipment as we'll ever probably need.

Do you travel?

Yes! We love to travel and check out new destinations and venues. We have gone as far as Florida and California as well as more locally to D.C., New York and New Jersey. Any weddings requiring excessive driving or flying may incur travel fees, but we are always up front about any additional costs.

What happens to my photos after the wedding?

Before we even leave your wedding, we already have 2-3 copies of all your wedding photos to ensure that nothing gets lost or damaged. Within a few days, additional copies will be made and stored both at our studio and remote locations.

We know you’ll be excited to see the finished photos, so we post a sneak-peek on Facebook in a day or two. There will also be a blog post highlighting our favorite photos from your day, and a big "Reveal" 2-3 weeks after the wedding where you’ll get to see all the edited images and check out your own personal online gallery.  Klein_05278Klein_05278

Can we get High-Resolution photos with reprint rights from our wedding?

High-Resolution images with reprint rights are included in all of our wedding packages. Essentially the only thing that is restricted is the selling or giving of images to a vendor or anyone looking to use them for paid or unpaid advertising. We ask that you refer those people or places to us!

What can we do with our photos after the wedding?

We don't want your photos to just sit on a USB drive gathering dust. You invested a lot in your wedding day, and we want to make sure you enjoy happy memories for years and years to come. Fairmount Photography offers a variety of ways to display your favorite photos from Canvas Wall Portraits to Wedding Albums.

Everything is custom-designed by us, and we’ll walk you through the whole process to make sure you get the perfect product.

We want to book you for our wedding! What's next?

If you’d like to learn more about us and check out all our wedding albums and products in person, then we can schedule a consultation at our office in Philadelphia or somewhere more convenient for both of us.

When you’ve decided we’re a good fit for your wedding day, you can reserve your date with a $1,000 deposit.

Do you photograph anything other than weddings?

Weddings are our specialty, but we love variety. We regularly book engagements, proposals, headshots and other portrait sessions throughout the year in addition to commercial work.
